Why it matters
Banks
Before accepting funds that come from crypto-assets, the bank's compliance team asks for their origin and path to be documented.
Notary
In the DR, DGII General Rule 07-2022 requires the notary to obtain proof of the means of payment in property transfers above RD$1,000,000.
Broker
Law 155-17 (art. 33) includes real estate agents involved in purchases and sales among the entities obliged to apply anti-money-laundering rules, supervised by the DGII.
How it works
- 1
Pre-quote questionnaire
About 10 minutes. Approximate answers, no documents. It goes straight to the firm.
- 2
Tailored quote
Within 3 business days at most, the firm tells you which report you need, its scope and the timeline. You engage and pay the firm directly.
- 3
Traceability report
OCAPS (On Chain Asset Statement), signed by a registered lawyer: holder identification and KYC, proof of control of each wallet (Satoshi Test), sanctions and PEP screening, the bank → platform → wallet path and a valuation at a cut-off date. When addressed to a bank's compliance team, OCACS (enhanced due diligence). With it, you or your broker set up the transaction with the seller, bank or notary.

Frequently asked questions
Who sees my data?
Your answers go directly to Molina Law Boutique, which is the data controller. Nextsun does not receive or store them: it only knows your name, country and case number. If a professional referred you, they receive that same minimal information.
How much does the report cost?
It depends on the volume, the number of wallets and platforms and who will receive the report. That is why the first step is this questionnaire: with it, the firm sends you a tailored quote. You engage and pay the firm directly.
How long does it take?
The firm sends you its quote within 3 business days of receiving the questionnaire. The report timeline is set in the quote depending on volume and complexity; according to Molina Law Boutique, a standard report is delivered in 5 to 10 working days, and urgent cases can be expedited.
Does Nextsun charge the client anything?
No. Nextsun introduces your request to the firm and receives a commission from Molina Law Boutique on its fees, which is not added to the price you pay. The firm also states it in its quote.
Do I need documents now?
No. Approximate answers are enough at this stage. If you accept the quote, the firm gives you access to its client portal with the list of documents.
Does the report ensure the bank or notary will accept the funds?
No report can replace each bank's or notary's own decision. What it does is document, in a verifiable way, the origin and path of the funds, which is what those institutions ask for. The specific scope of each report is set by the firm in its quote.
I'm a broker. How do I know the client is recorded as mine?
When you register you receive your own code and link. When your client submits the questionnaire with that code, you instantly receive a notice with the case number, date and time. Nextsun also reports the status of your cases and commits in writing not to offer properties to your clients.
